Other Bits and Pieces plus Foolham

Tomorrow Chelsea face another test of their fast track progress under the guidance of JM against Foolham. First of two meetings this month. The second being the Carling Cup Quarter Final in 17 days.

Chelsea already know what they have to do and that is win and hopefully do so without conceding a goal. By the time we kick-off, 'The Arse' would have already played at 'Three Point Lane.' Hopefully Tottingham do the business.

JM made seven changes for the Newcastle game and I suspect that he will revert back to the starting eleven for the Everton game, with the exception of perhaps Bridge for Babayaro who I am afraid is looking like he his losing the plot. After all, look back at the Everton game and the rifting Baba got from Lamps after Stubbs had spurned Everton's best chance with the free header. If you noticed that Everton took a quick corner kick, Baba was well off the pace and lacking of concentration before realising too late and the cross came in. Although Baba is now Chelsea's longest serving player, I cannot see him lasting that much longer at left back or even at Chelsea. That is my opinion. Of the links that Chelsea have and create to provide a solid looking, hard working, unified team, Baba is looking more and more the weakest link. Sorry no pun intended.

It won't be too long now before Dids/The Drog comes back into the team. Two weeks reports suggest. I bet he his chomping at the bit to get on some of the crosses the Duffer and Reliant Robin shove in to the penalty area, problem is to accomodate both AR and Duffer, poor old Eidersson looks the likely candidate to be replaced even though he his starting to find the net again. 6 goals in 6 matches. Or it could be that the axe might fall on Kezzer. Sure glad its not my problem!

Despite the fact the our defence superbly marshalled by King John has conceded only 4 goals in 18 matches, in all competitions - we will have to be on our game and guard as Foolham have scored eight in a week and away from home to boot.

Good to see that Duffer said he loves it at Chelsea. At the moment what is there not to love? And that both he and Eidersson have not yet written off Man Ure for the title. We all know there's a bit of kidology going on and its a two horse race.

Well what do you think of the new shirt badge which was unveiled yesterday? Launched to start Chelsea Centenary celebrations which actually start in earnest in 2005. Although it isn't a throwback to the original badge, which should never have been replaced in the first place, it is an updated modern design based on the original. At least the lion and the staff is back. And for us poor suffering fans, the prospect of shelling out even more money for merchandise once the new badge is officially launched looms even closer. I would like to know what you think. email me at abis15@aol.com with your views, or comment on the message board 50 Years Over 100 Years.

For those who wonder what 50 years Over 100 Years means, well here goes. 2005 represents to significant anniversaries in Chelsea's long and distinguished history. 50 Years equals our one and only League Championship - 1955. And 100 years equals the year that Chelsea was formed - 1905.

Just wouldn't it be nice to celebrate the two anniversaries by bringing the Premiership crown, home to where it truly truly belongs.

As a postscript. Look in the latest edition of the Chelsea Official Magazine and read the fans reaction v Liverpool. Look for 'Clockwatcher.' Thats me.

FAME AT LAST! LOL
