Chelsea to Replace Parker?

Poor old Scott Parker. On the verge of getting his feet back on the pitch for more minutes than he has actually played so far this season,
especially with the heavy demand of fixtures on the horizon looming, comes on against Norwich last weekend for the last 12 minutes and breaks a bone in his foot. Metatarsal you know. Estimates expect Parker to be out for anything from eight to twelve weeks. Therefore JM hinted today that Chelsea may well be in the transfer maket when the 'transfer window' opens in January. JM has already ruled out bidding for Joaquin, Gerrard, Defoe and everybody that has been linked with the club these last few weeks. Basically what JM has said that he will be looking for a cover midfield player, not a 'big-name,' but whoever comes to Chelsea, won't they become a big name anyway? JM has ruled out using Geremi, as he sees Geremi more of a winger. He has also ruled out using Joey Cole as a midfield player because he sees him more as an attacking midfield player, and plans to use him as cover for Duff and/or Robben especially over the Christmas period. So that leaves the 'hardcore' midfield consisting of Super Frank, Rat Boy Smertin, Tiago (He hates the Arsenal) and Makelele. Watch this space!!
