just commented on the other crewe thread mate.
think player was barely if at all touched, however the red is for "intent" and that is how an official reads the game. i was annoyed but i saw no other outcome. I've never seen ian so wreckless.

I agree totally mate.

The intent was the key thing for me!

The intent earns you a yellow card. If you intend, and succeed in getting the player, its a red.

However, with Ian there was no intent, it wouldn't be like him and his eyes followed the ball!

Still on the subject of the game, what match was Dario Gradi watching with these comments.....

"It's not like us to score Four goals, be 4 up with 20 minutes to go, be able to sit back and enjoy it!"

.....We NEVER do that, so because of that all our wins have been hard fought.

At least get it into context.

He said you were 4 up, it was 4-3 not 4-0!

Intent erans you a red mikey. It's unsporting behaviour

Can diving also be classed as unsporting behaviour?

Should of been 10 each.

Thank goodness for Danny Coyne...it could have been worse..atmosphere was fab but I am sick of sitting next to people who slag off Myrie Williams( or 'Willy' as some prat kept calling him)...there's only so much he can do with that left foot if he's played on the wrong side...which i said to the OAP on my right cos I was sick of him moaning about how awful he was...ARRRGGGHHH!(Sm122)

Agreed Michaela - the abuse of players such as Williams seems uncalled for!
