GAFFER'S POST-MATCH COMMENTS

We take a look at what Ronnie Moore had to say on the Official Tranmere Rovers Website after todays 2-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road...

"We passed it really well for the first twenty minutes.  They then came into the game a bit which you'd expect for the home side in the manager's first game in charge but we dealt with everything and limited them to two or three chances."

"We changed one or two things.  We know we can get round the back of teams now if you put balls in the right area.  Calvin and Ian worked their socks off, and Steve Jennings was brilliant today, he was all over the place."

"I'm pleased. It was probably the best all round performance we've had this season."

"Ian worked hard when he was here and never got a fair crack of the whip I thought, as he was played on the right.  But if you play him down the middle and he's going to get goals.  I was made up he came here and scored."

"Jennison came in at half time, said he hadn't done anything and that we were playing with ten men. But he's always liable to do what he did.  It was a great finish and then it was nice we got the second to give us that bit of comfort."

"We're not getting carried away.  It's a game won and it's four on the trot which puts us where we want to be. We've got another big game to come on Saturday. Hopefully we can put in the right sort of performance."
