For those who are unable to go to the home game against Walsall this afternoon, here is your platform for discussing all the events of the afternoon as well as the build up to it pre-match and any other aspects of the match that you may wish to discuss here.
Walsall Match Discussion Thread
At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can. One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.
As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be providing Match Discussion Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.Tranmere are of course playing at home to Walsall this afternoon in Coca-Cola League One so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on and even discuss the team news and build up to the game beforehand too?
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses. Or why not post the line-ups or anything else you can think of.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in League One as well.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Although Walsall dominated the opening bit of the second half, I thought the win was deserved for us in the end.
Credit to Gareth Edds who had a very good game at right back and to Moore who once again played really well.
Savage was disappointing again really although his first half chance was a difficult angle for him by the time he got on the end of it and wasn't easy to finish.
I thought Shuker had a poor game and Moore showed him in the end how crossing should be done.
Despite scoring I thought Goodison didn't have a great game yet again for us.
All in all a great result and some other just ahead of us slipped up so the late winner is all the more crucial.
My Man of the Match is Kay just ahead of Moore.

Edds was very good, hes a right back not a centre midfielder. Moore was disapointng, hes a winger, not a striker. Kay and Jenno were very good. Overall I thought we did well today and battled for a full 90 minutes.

There was a lack of communication between Shukes and Savage throughout the game as both of them seemed to not want the responsiblity of the ball. In the second half this was evident when Shukes left it for Savage only for Bas himself to leave it for Shukes!
Moore and Kay have been outstanding, long may this continue

Only just noticed this but we have the third best home league record in the division (only behind Millwall and Leicester)
If we can turn a few away defeats into draws and possibly a win then that could propel us into the top six in the coming months.

Yeah your right Ste and although we apparently have the third best home record, only one team (Leicester) have won more home games than us!

this was my first home game of the season and it was poor very poor
jennings can go there was no midfield at all
goodison was poor sonko doesnt have a first touch shuker i think haslost total confidence in himself and doesnt wanna run with the ball, savage what a waste of space big bloke who cannt win a header
moore was the only player today who played ok,
impressed tho i must say with coyne very voical shouting encougement all match.
greeny needs to be played when fit with moore up front with savage on the pitch itsjust one big kick up and hope. i even heard ben chorley telling edds to wait for bas before you take the throwing !!! why wait and slow the game down when your on top!!!
we will become a team that every ball will be aimed at bas and other teams will know this so easy picking man marking him out of the game
should play football on the deck thats what we are good at
but hey what do i know!

I don't think Shuker and Savage both didn't want 'responsability' of the ball - it was just a mis understanding! it happens!
And why do people think Bas should be good at heading the ball. Yes he's tall, that makes him stronger, he should be able to compete for the headers but just because he's 6ft 5 doesn't mean he should be really good at heading and that every header should go to one of our players. Savage is a player that is ten times more effective when the ball is on the floor.
I disagree about Moore too, I thought he was poor, he's much better out wide.

savage doesnt know how to use his size to his advantage he should be winning headers not saying they will always go to one of our players but theres a better chance it will if he wins the header, mikey like you said there not always goin to go to our players but if thats what you think why are our players thinking they are goin to and waitting for him to win the header thats what am trying to say the team thinks he goin to win the headers but hes not

Well perhaps thats the other players fault, and not Bas's! The players are just anticipating he'll win it and making the runs. You'd be just as annoyed if Bas won the header only to find Shuker hadn't moved.

i compltely agree with digi about jenno he offers nothing at all he runs around and gives 100% which i respect but at the end of the day hes jsut not very good!
