Still seem to be firing blanks for most of the ninety minutes
apart from Showunmi strike looks like scoring going to be a problem and this was only against Arrington wait till we play some of the so called bigger clubs of our division

Ahh, but we now have Morrow and still have Moore. If Tranmere can average at least around 4 goals every 3 games, I think they could be alright, if the Huddersfield and Walsall defensive performances are anything to go by.

Irrelevant for me. We go by the future not the past. Morrow wasn't here then, Enoch was still trying to get his fitness. He's scoring now. Morrow could be good and even Jennings is staking his place with 2 in a reserve game.

Tranmere have shown resolve at Huddersfield and Dagenham and now some kind of scoring form, with the ability to score 2 in match.

Yes the injuries don't help, but Les might be able to get freebies in to cover it, or loans in about 12 days.

If Tranmere could make the 3rd round of the F.A. cup again there could possibly be around £250,000+ for players at Christmas, including leftover money from summer. possibly with the ability to spend around another £300 on new player wages, which would be small I admit, but welcome none the less.

I see positives from the last few games, especially scoring wise, as that's now 4 goals in 3 games in all competitions, concession wise, ignoring all the Swansea goals bar one, they got a late goal and a fluke, which is not indicative of Tranemres potential to concede 0 or 1 in the net, which has been demonstrated at Walsall and Huddersfield, just lkike many times last season

I feel the Bournemouth game exposed a mental wekaness in younger players, who couldn't respond well to going a goal down early. Plus Wood made a genuine mistake I think Blanchard wouldn't have, forcing the hastily attempted recovery job from Goodison that gave the penalty away.

Wood needs time, but for me he's okay.

Collister is a shining example of progress this season. Plus coming from 2 goals behind in a away game. Not something achieved last season, nor did it ever look like it could be, as the Huddersfield 3-3, never saw either team opening up a bigger margin, than 1 goal at any time, from what I recall.

If Tranmere could string 2 wins together, than 8 points in 6 would be a better return than Barnes's flimsy 7 points in 11, which included a less than assured Gillingham game and a lucky 1 on target shot winner at Wycombe.

If Peterborough does become a win, Parry will already have more points than Barnes and a 2-2 draw to his credit. Barnes was never good enough to get the side showing resolve. When they went a goal or two down away, they often stayed down big time, especially against Millwall.

Considering the injuries. I think the Swansea performance was better than Barnes would have managed in a similar match and the Accrington home game with 7 19 year olds, was better, compared to Bury away, with people like Broomes, Moore, Mahon, Goodison and Mc Claren playing, which resulted in a thrown away lead and cost Barnes his job.

I therefore see positives and progress in some ways. No doubts for me, if Tranmere had maybe had Blanchard playing CB against Bournemouth and Enoch had reached his scoring best, that would have been a win, as I think would the Dagenham result, if Moores knee had been solid, or Morrow had been contracted at the time which he wasn't.

I'm hoping time will prove me right, as I thikn Tranmere despite the problems and financial restrictions will come good and do better than last season, especially with people like Miotto, Ebbrell and Summerfield installed and Garnett, having a solid impact on development, but it will take time, because the injuries I would think, are certainly hampering efforts to create team cohesion.

Matt we were played off the park by Bournemouth from the moment they scored in the 8th minute so having morrow in the side would not have made a scrap of difference.

Yes it was good to get a point at Dagenham from being 2 goals down but from all accounts of the people who went there we were yet again awful and lucky not to lose the game convincingly.

The injuries are playing a big part and for me the wory is by the team we have a number of the players back fit which will probably be in October we could be in the same position we were under barnes ie cut adrift.

It will take an improvement on all our home performances so far to take anything out of satrudays game as for me their attack is the equal to anything in this league.

As for "if Tranmere can string 2 wins together" this would be great but as yet we havent won in the league so a single win would be a start.

That's it though, a 2 game winning streak has to start with that first one. Besides if Morrow had been there the result may not have been the same, simply because you wouldn't have the exact same scenario, so you wouldn't necessarily get the exact same outcome. Sounds a bit deep and philosophical, but it is the truth.

I was bugged as much as anyone about Bournemouth, but I do feel the mentality of some younger players played a part, that and Woods individual mistake, leading to Goodisons penalty giveaway by trying to cover up for it.

Some of the younger players need to learn some resolve and get some grit and steel. I can't blame Wood too much, he's still very raw, but I do think there was more emphasis on that game than the Oldham one, because Bournemouth were promoted and it would have been seen as one that if you don't win, you've got some bad issues.

I think If Showunmi had been on the form he is now, Tranmere would have won that, but like most seasons, Tranmere have bananaskin games, like the Hatlepool 0-0 last season, os maybe gettign that one out of the way can help them concentrate on other stuff like hammering Peterborough .

Afterall they got dumped by Bournemouth as well.

I really cannot see how you can justify in saying that if Enoch had been on form against Bournemouth we would have won the game, we were totally outplayed.

Another of our problems is that we are reverting to hit the ball forward as quick as possible instead of trying to get the ball down and pass it in midfield, we need to try to be more creative as its far too easy to lump the ball to the big man up front.

lets hope the lads are just focusing on the game in hand...............
