Goalkeeper unlikely to return to Tranmere in transfer window

Article Header - Breaking News

Despite Les Parry being very keen on bringing Peter Gulacsi back to Tranmere Rovers, it looks unlikely that the talented Hungarian goalkeeper will be returning to Prenton Park during the January transfer window.

Liverpool, Gulacsi's parent club, are set to name the goalkeeper in their 25-man squad for the Premier League, Total Tranmere understands, meaning Rovers' Merseyside rivals would be unlikely to let the 20-year old return to the Wirral.

Gulacsi had looked likely to come back to Prenton Park as a replacement for the out going Gunnar Nielsen in goal for Tranmere, this after spending two months with the club earlier this season, as well as a month at Prenton Park at the end of last season.

However, Les Parry is now going to have to extend his search for a new Number 1 at Prenton Park, unless he chooses to stick with young goalkeeper Joe Collister, after Nielsen returned to Manchester City following the end of a hugely unsuccessful loan spell.

Tough on Tranmere a little bit, as I thought he'd be a solid certainty to return, but then there's someone like Amos and no doubt others, that could potentially fit the bill.

If Luke Daniels was on offer again, I wouldn't baulk the idea, as I think he did pretty well, stepping in for the departed Coyne last season.

If Liverpool aren't likely to let Tranmere have Gulacsi, maybe they could let Tranmere have Achterberg (Sm7).

No chance of Amos coming... He has played champions league football this season and is being primed to be uniteds no 2 next season when Van Der Sar is expected to retire and Kuszhak moves on!

Well I know it's not likely, but reports I think from the Man Unired and / or Sky website(s), claim he wants to be loaned to make a point to Ferguson.

If Championship leel proved sparse on chances, league 1 would prove more fruitful, but the downside is, you're playing against lower level opposition, so it makes it a bit harder to prove your credentials.

I think you might right though, but as long as the loan option is there, it might happen.

Though in the case of someone liek Macheda it's definitely a no-go (Sm7).

I'd be happy with someone like De Laet though, now Preston haven't got him, although I do think that was exremely pettyy of Ferguson, to recall their loan players, in light of his Son's sacking. After all it's not the Preston Chairmans fault that Ferguson Mark II, had quality players like Hume and was still a bit naff with regards to managing the team, because the Chairman isn't psychic.

Well he played for York and Bury so he's used to lower league football. I'm sure he'd fit right back in without any problems at all.

He probably should have started in goal. Bad result, perhaps we could loan Liverpool a couple of players?

COME ON YOU MIGHTY WHITES (Sm44)
