Looking forward to this one. It'll be my first 'live' game of the season. I also bringing a couple of Swindon fans along to show them a real team lol

Swindon have their own problems, like looking over the shoulders at Swindon Supermarine and knowing that although they are in a higher division than them, SS have not garnered a past reputation, for sometimes committing acts of gross overspending and entering administration.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

4-3 us Davies doing a ward but actually celebrating because he doesn't give a t*** about the goalkeeping Union

Probably our toughest test so far, so going for a draw 1-1.

I'll take a draw. There won't be too many occasions this season that a draw can be seen as a real positive for us and the real pressure is on the opposition, but this is one, so perhaps that will play into our hands and we can sneak 3 points.

I would be happy with a draw. Predicted 1-1. But would be happy to be wrong. And I would also like to see us score the first goal for a change.

For the first time I think we will lose I'm going 3-1 to them, we would have to play our best this season to compete with a very good team

Too true, that's how most of our football related arguments finish, with me asking about administration etc etc.

I never put my prediction down. I'm going for 2-3, with us being 2-0 down at half time, before a james Norwood hat-trick sends the 237 travelling fans crazy

go two down,
get back to 2-2
go another one down
bizarre substitution
fans turn on players
score twice
fans love players

1-0, given the sort of team they're playing. If they want to be solid contenders, drawing against the now fancied teams all the time, will not be quite enough I feel, because you'll get a few bogey results here and there so definitely need to beat such teams a time or two where possible.

This game has now become a big game in NL terms.

If it's true, the it can only be a internal issue, as an FA ban would have been published, and he hasn't been sent off during a game.

I can't see the club not playing our best striker ?

Great first half. Struggling to break them down at the back. Cheltenham are playing deep and relying on the long ball.

Doesn't being solid and defending well count as playing well? It does for me.

Poor? I took a Swindon fan and even he said we battered them! Great performance, Mangan was frustrating, but did what he had to do in the end.

My take:
First half, we had all the play, but they had a back line of 8 players we couldn't get through. At every opportunity they played the long ball.

Second half:
They took their target men off and tried playing football. The game opened up. They had the better chances, but mainly because Mangan made the wrong decisions 4 times. On another day, we have had some more clear chances.

Mekki seamed off the pace, and wasn't as attack minded as he should be.

Mangan was on his own up front and often there was nobody for him to pass to. So he tried[unsuccessfully on occasions]to beat the defender. The only instance he shot first time he scored. I think it is a general fault of the team that we do not shoot early enough but try to beat the extra defender to get into a better position to shoot. It is NOT down to one player though and I thought Mangan did a great job today.

An excellent big win against one of our main rivals this season-the first time we've ever won there. By and large it was a pretty even game with defences on top.The last five minutes of each half were the most incident packed .They improved quite a bit after they made the double substitution and Hogan's superb clearance off the line saved a certain goal.

It is so sweet when you are away from home and you score so late on for the victory.

Was amused by their keeper who was laughing and joking with our fans as he took his place at the start of the second half but went mental and was NOT a happy bunny when we scored, strongly castigating the linesman.None of his colleagues backed him up.

A good result in the end and necessary to make a statement about Tranmere's potential credentials at this level.

Agree, he played very well today. But he still made the wrong choice 4 times, especially the last one where his shot was blocked, but a nice through ball would have put Maynard in.

Still, we won and played well, that's all that matters! 🍻

That's three games missed for me this season so far.. Woking (H), Chester (H) and Cheltenham (A)!

A couple of patterns emerging there but most significantly three wins and no goals conceded!

Perhaps a self-imposed ban is required?!

apparently something to do with being sent off during a behind closed doors friendly between FG and Bath u21 sides.
Appears that several involved, whilst not competitive fixture, nature of incident required FA meeting, some other players also banned as a result, I understand.
Brabin said he felt no need to talk about it, since it did not happen at Rovers.
