Today, we take a look at the local newspaper, The Globe. The story we have decided to pick out is the preview on the upcoming game at Hull. Rovers have many connections with Hull. But the biggest connection is by far the fact it was Brian Little's last managerial pot before taking over a t Rovers.

LITTLE ON 'REVENGE' MISSION

Rovers boss wants full points of Hull, the club that sacked him.

Tranmere Rovers boss Brian Little returns to Hull City this weekend for the first time since he parted ways with the club almost two years ago.

Little said he looked forward to the trip - and the chance of taking three points - but admitted that his sackingstill leaves him with a tinge of disappointment.

Little said "I am looking forward to going back there. Even though I have been the manager at Tranmere for over a year now, there is still a tinge of disappointment in meabout being sacked because I had set a target for myself of trying to take the club on."

Hull City are currently placed second in Coca-Cola League One by virtue of goals scord - both Tranmere and Hull have the same goal difference. They play host to Tranmere in the new 25,000 seater KC Stadium this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Tranmere bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Port Vale last Tuesday with a deserved 2-0 win over promotion rivals Bournemouth at Prenton Park on Friday night, with goals from Iain Hume and Paul Hall.

Little added that his side would need to carry their home form away with them if they are to be victorious at Hull.

He said "Hull are very atlectic, very strong and they stick a bit of quality in there with Nick Barmby, who is given a fair amount of freedom

"They are on the back of having got promotion at a club where they bring 20 000 people to watch them. They're playing in a fantastic stadium and I think they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

" From our point of view, we need to paly well - I don't think anyone will go there and sneak points of them. It's not a place to go and have a bad day."
