On the Road……


By Road:  Leave the M1 at Junction 37 and take the A628 towards Barnsley. Stay on the same road (following signs for the Ground) and the Stadium will soon appear on the right hand side of the road.

By Rail:

 

Barnsley Station is around ten minutes walk from the Stadium and is served by regular trains between Leeds and Sheffield

To find the Stadium on foot, turn left after exiting the station so that you are heading away from the town centre.  Pass underneath the dual-carriageway runs and turn left up the slip road before taking the first road on the right and head towards the Metro Dome Leisure Complex at the top of the hill from where Oakwell will soon be visible.

PLEASE NOTE: As this match is an evening kick-off, there are no trains back to Liverpool Lime Street or Chester after the game.  Therefore the train is only recommended as a means of travel to this game if an overnight stay is being made in Barnsley or Leeds.

 

Liverpool Lime Street to Barnsley: 

 

Prices start from: Adults £24.50 and Under-16’s £12.25.

 

Chester to Barnsley:

At the Stadium

 

Car Parking:  There is a reasonable sized Car Park at the Stadium. 

Where to Eat:  There are plenty of places to eat around the vicinity of the Stadium as well as inside the Stadium.  The nearby Metro Dome has a bar that serves food as well.  

Where to Drink:  There is usually no alcohol on sale to visiting supporters inside the Stadium at Oakwell but just a short distance from the Away Stand is the Metro Dome which has a bar serving alcohol.
