Player Coach Jason signs New Deal

Tranmere have confirmed that Jason McAteer has signed a new one-year deal at the Club as a Player Coach and follows on from Ronnie Moore’s seven new signings that have come within the past week.

 

Tranmere’s Jason McAteer has today signed a new one-year deal to remain at Prenton Park as a Player Coach where he will work alongside new Boss Ronnie Moore and Assistant John Breckin.

 

The 35 year old former Bolton, Liverpool and Sunderland midfielder has made 68 appearances for Rovers since signing in July 2004.

 

Speaking to the Official Website, Ronnie Moore said “I’m looking forward to working with Jason.  He wants to learn about coaching and is taking his badges.  He will learn from me and John and we will give him authority in training sessions.  As a player he is very important to us.  He has a very good passing ability, is a good talker and a leader on the pitch”.
