Morientes not eligible to play at Turf Moor

Liverpool will be without the service of new signing Fernando Morientes in tomorrows FA cup 3rd round tie against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Morientes made his Liverpool debut against Manchester United on Saturday very swiftly after just completing the move 2 days before.

However he wont be able to make his first ever FA Cup game until the 4th round tie against Bournemouth or if Burnley hold us to a replay at Anfield. The Football Association ruling means that he cannot play tomorrow because he wasn't registered in the original game that was called off.
