Penney: Play-Off Hopes Deflated

Doncaster manager Dave Penney believes losing to Chesterfield 1-0 on Saturday could have ended Rovers’ hopes for a play-off spot.
Rovers somehow came away with nothing despite dominating the entire game, and to make things worse, 3 minutes from time N’Toya scored with
Penney said:
"It's looking highly unlikely that we'll get there now, although I'm not going to write off our chances yet.”
"This was a lost opportunity. We had 75 or 80% of the play but their keeper never had a shot to save - and that just about sums it up.”
"It wasn't a case of missing chances. We just didn't have a cutting edge in the final third, despite all the good football we played.”
"It was disappointing to get beaten because I thought we were the better team. But there was no end product, and the longer it goes the more you start to fear the worst in a game like that."
