Warren Feeney’s proposed move to Doncaster Rovers is wavering as time before the transfer window closes runs out.

Stockport County are reportedly stalling so they can keep their star player until the end of the season at least.

The transfer window closes on Thursday and County are acting in a unsporting way to keep the man with 17 goals to his name already this season.

Penney confirmed the club has bid £150,000 for the Northern Ireland striker but has also stated he will not be held to ransom over the matter.

Penney said:

"The scenario is that he scored a hat-trick on Saturday so the valuation has gone up.”

"We have said we are not going to pay any more money so we will have to wait and see what happens."
