Alioune Toure has been named as the £1 million player part of the £13 million cash plus player deal for Anelka. Lucien Mettomo was, according to City, never part of the deal.

Toure in Anelka exchange

As we all sit and wait for final confirmation of the Nicolas Anelka transfer, the player in the cash plus player deal has been revealed.

Despite rumours that Lucien Mettomo was on his way to Paris, City insist that he was never offered as part of the deal. The player who is making up that part of the deal is French striker, Alioune Toure.

Toure was bought, by Keegan, from French side Nantes, but never really figured in the first team after the club discovered that he suffered from deep vein thrombosis.

Toure is believed to be valued at £1 million in the £13 million deal.
