Kevin Keegan is down to his last two fully fit first team strikers after Vicente Vuoso became the latest injury blow. Despite having six strikers on the books only Niclas Anelka and Darren Huckerby remain fully fit.

Striker Crisis

Kevin Keegan has found himself with a striking crisis with just under two weeks to go before the big kick off.

Of his six first team squad forwards only two have survived the pre season fit and ready to go. Vicente Vuoso is the latest forward to pick up a knock leaving Keegan with just Niclas Anelka and Darren Huckerby fully fit.

However all is not doom and gloom with both Vuoso and The Goat expected to be fit for the season’s opener at Elland Road.

The current crisis goes a long way towards vindicating Keegan’s decision to keep six first team strikers on the books and may well give the Goat another crack at the Premiership after everyone believed him to be on his way out of Maine Road.
