Motherwell completed the signings of freed Kilmarnock goalkeeper Gordon Marshall and former Partick Thistle pair Steven Craigan and Alex Burns who are signing on at Fir Park for their second stint.

However the signing spree doesen't stop there, manager Terry Butcher hopes to add at least one more new face to his squad, he told BBC " I have still got the intention of adding one more player and we are talking to people about that. "

Signing a goalkeeper was Terry's priority after having released Stevie Woods and Francois Dubourdeau so he jumped in to sign 39 year old Gordon Marshall who had just been freed from Kilmarnock on a 1 year contract. Gordon has a wealth of experience in Scotland's top flight playing Celtic and Falkirk before heading down to Ayrshire. Terry said " He's a fabulous goalkeeper with a lot of experience. "

The signing of Partick Thistle pair Steven Craigan and Alex Burns has angered the Firhill board and have reported Motherwell to the SFA and SPL claiming they shouldn't have been allowed to sign players while they are in administration. Both players were freed from Motherwell 6 years ago under Alex McLeish, Craigan moved to Partick while ' toastie burns ' has went on to star in Holland plus had spells with Southend, Raith, Livingston, StMirren before moving to Thistle.

Steven Craigan told how the offer of a 2 year contract was a major factor in signing plus the fact he would be working under England legend Terry Butcher, he told BBC " A two-year deal was a pulling point and for any central defender playing under Terry Butcher is another one. "
