Chris Days loan period is up

Despite northends efforts they have yet to come to an agreement with QPR on the extension of Keeper Chris Days loan

With Days loan expiring after the weekend fixture away to Watford, Preston have been unable to come to an agreement with QPR over the matter of extending his stay on loan at Deepdale.

With QPR themselves pushing for promotion and only 4pts away from 6th placed Reading and 8pts from ourselves, will they be so willing to help us out again as they did back in late February.

Since the arrival of Chris Day Northend have lost only once in his 6 apperances that coming on his debut against Nottm Forest. In those 6 apperances we have picked up 11 points from a possible 18, with Day conceding 6 goals.

First choice keeper Andy Lonergan is still not fit for a return, leaving Northend with only two goalkeepers Gavin Ward and youngster Chris Neal
