Performance of the season

Ian Rush, Chester City manager (at the time of writting anyway) esplains how Chester performance against Southend on Saturday was the best of the season so far.

After a week to forget for Chester boss Ian Rush and his assistant Mark Aizelwood, Chester put their off-field problems to the back of their minds as they fought against a tough promotion chasing Southend United. Chester got a 2-2 draw at the Deva, but deserved more and would have got more but for some wayward finishing.

Rush told the press that "the performance was the best of the season. After a tough week, the team put in 110% and you cannot ask for any more than that. This was our best home performance of the season."

Rush also told the media about his un-certain future at Chester. He said that he has a two and a half year contract at Chester and intends to stay the length. This sounds like a selfish reply, does it mean that if Chester go down, he will stay or will he go?
