Trialist no show

Brazilian striker Caio has failed to show for his one week trial with the Club. Merse had said the former Inter Milan man would be here this week.

The trial had been set up because of Paul Merson's links with Juninho who had told Caio that we were worth taking a look at.

It transpires that he hasn't arrived. The official site doesn't give any further details apart from the fact he just "failed to appear".

Why hasn't he turned up? Maybe he is mates with Junior? Maybe he found out that League One isn't the one at the top, or he could be lost somewhere in the favelas of Wolverhampton. Then again, he could be training with Stoke, Derby, Gillingham or Rotherham.

This one looks dead for now. Will Merse look elsewhere?
