Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell has given the Saddlers a right rollicking. They think we want him on the cheap - how right they are.

“He hasn’t been released at all. If Walsall want him, then they have to do the right thing and pay for him. They’ve kept sniffing around, wanting this and that, but we’re not prepared to budge".

You can understand Leeds not wanting to give players away on the cheap, but for a club that is lucky be alive - and these clubs often depend upon the good will others - having such an abrasive attitude won't make him or Leeds very popular.  

If they want us to pay for him they clearly have no idea of how football outside the Premiership works. Fee's aren't the done thing anymore. The only way we'd pay for  him is  If all our fans donated £1 a week until this time next year, and then we might be able to buy out his contract, then again, we'd need to save up for 2 or 3 years to pay his wages.

With Leeds taking this kind of stance this seems to be a no-go. It's time to start looking elsewhere unless Leeds change their mind.
