Another delay in decision on Newco Rangers

The SFL have announced the meeting to decide which League Newco Rangers will be placed in has been put back one day to Friday 13th July.

If it wasn’t Scottish Football it would make you laugh, you get the feeling we can’t make the decision on 12^th July as this may upset the Rangers fans! As a result it has moved back a day to the date many still call “Black Friday” – 13^th!!

It is yet another delay in this whole sorry affair as we wait to see how our Leagues will be structured next season, and who will be playing where.

There are many small pieces of fall out from it all;

1. When will the TV games be announced?
2. Who are club 12?
3. Why was club 12 not announced after the SPL meeting yesterday.
4. What League will not only Rangers be in, but this also affects Airdrie and Stranraer, who could both      move up.
5. Will newco Rangers play in the Ramsdens Cup?

This decision will be taken only two weeks ahead of the first round of the Ramsdens Cup for the SFL clubs, and will this need to be re-drawn if Dundee orDunfermlineare replaced by Newco Rangers?

I would have hoped the SFL could’ve pulled their meeting forward, rather than push it back, to help provide the clarity we all need. But that is not the Scottish football way!
