Bolton Set To Sign Cesar?

Spanish international Cesar could be on his way to Bolton Wanderers in the near future after cancelling his contract with Levante before the closure of the transfer window this week.

The 29-year old centre half has been a target of Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce for over a year and now reports claim that the former Deportivo La Coruna man is on his way to the Reebok Stadium.

Cesar has had an unhappy time since moving to struggling Levante in the summer and would realish the prospect of linking up with fellow countryman Ivan Campo at Bolton.

Speculation suggests that Cesar will sign an 18-month contract at Bolton to become the clubs fourth transfer capture of the new year adding to the recent signings of David Thompson, Zoltan Harsanyi and Lubomir Michalik.

As yet no official comments have been made by either the club, the players representative or the player himself so we await further developments on this situation.
