Reserves At Home To Boro

Bolton Wanderers reserves hope to build on recent cup wins against Stockport County and Rochdale when facing their FA Premier Reserve league rivals Middlesbrough at the County Ground in Leyland later tonight.
Success in the Manchester Senior Cup and Lancashire Senior Cup has been the bright point in an otherwise dull season for Jimmy Phillips title winning team but with half of the campaign still to go there is time to turn the season around for the better.
Phillips will tonight be able to call upon the likes of Johann Smith and Leslie Thompson after both completed respective spells with Darlington and Stockport County but defender Mark Ellis will remain at Blue Square conference side Torquay United until the New Year.
In this same fixture last March goals from Zoltan Harsanyi and Kevin Wolze sent the club on the start of an unbeaten run which stretched over seven second string matches.
Opponents Middlesbrough have Julio Arca back in contention after two months out with ligament damage but captain Jonathan Grounds misses the game through suspension.
Robert Huth, Mohammed Shawky and Benjamin Hutchinson are also amongst the visitors starting eleven.
