Fab Snubs Leeds Move

Fabrice Fernandes has turned down the chance to move to Leeds United on loan and will now focus on competing for his place in the Bolton Wanderers team.

Morning speculation had suggested that the Frenchman was on the verge of a temporary move to Elland Road but agent Willie McKay told Sky Sports that his client prefers to stay with Bolton and wait for an opportunity.

"Fabrice wants to stay at Bolton and fight for his place, I spoke to Fabrice about the situation and Sam Allardyce asked him if he wanted to go out on loan for a month to play."

"However, Fabrice prefers to wait for his chance at Bolton and he knows he needs to be playing games. He wants to be in the picture at Bolton and he is ready to work hard to catch the eye of Sam Allardyce in training."

Fernandes last played in Bolton's Carling Cup win over West Ham United at the end of last month and was not involved during the recent European win over Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg.
