Spanish legend Fernando Hierro could be about to make a swift return to football just six months after announcing his retirement from the game.
Hierro ended his playing career last season with Bolton Wanderers and was an integral part of the Trotters team that qualified for European football for the first time.
The 37-year old is perhaps best known for his 14-year spell at Real Madrid and it is now being suggested that he will return to the Bernabeu to replace the recently departed Arrigo Sacchi as Director of Football.
