El-Hadji Diouf has been given a twelve month driving ban after being found guilty of a drink driving offence on Sunday 30th October 2005.
The Bolton striker was stopped in the early hours of the night in question and was found to be over the limit when breath tested by Greater Manchester Police in the Blackburn Road area of the town.
Diouf had only hours previously played a key role for the Wanderers in their win over Premiership rivals Charlton Athletic at The Valley.
The 24-year old ex-Liverpool player was fined £3,000 and ordered to pay £65 costs at Bolton Magistrates Court.
