Sevilla Coach Praises Wanderers

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos had nothing but praise for Bolton Wanderers after the Trotters played out a 1-1 draw against their Spanish counterparts in the final UEFA Cup Group H game yesterday evening.

A second half goal by Bolton veteran Bruno N'Gotty was cancelled out by lively Sevilla substitute Adriano and Ramos believes that the Wanderers have what it takes to mount a serious challenge in this season's competition.

"They can get through a few more rounds yet and go far in the competition," said Ramos after his side had visited the Reebok Stadium

"Bolton are a difficult team to play against. They are direct and a lot of their players are good in the air. They will threaten teams, especially at home, and create problems for them. Any side like Bolton that is high in the Premiership has to be respected."

Former Mallorca coach Ramos always maintained that Bolton where a key team in the group and the fact that both teams jostled for top spot during last night's game just shows the quality that both teams possess.

In the end Sevilla won Group H, Russian side Zenit St Petersburg finished as runners up with the Wanderers in third place. Besiktas and Vitoria Guimaraes both exited the competition at the conclusion of the Group Stages.
