Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has stated that he will decide on the future of fringe player Martin Djetou over the course of the next few days.

The former Fulham favourite signed a short term deal with the Trotters in October but has as yet rarely been involved at first team level due to the form of Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye.

Bolton boss Allardyce confirmed that a contract decision would be made at the turn of the New Year.

"I've not made a decision just yet, this will be done in the next couple of days, It needs to be the right one - for the club and for the player. He hasn't figured as much as he would have liked and would of course feel frustrated about that."

One time French international Djetou has made five appearances in all competitions for the Trotters so far with the latest coming in the goalless draw against Sunderland on Boxing Day.
