Jay-Jay Wants Nigeria Swansong

Bolton midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha is hopeful of ending his international career in style by helping Nigeria win this year's African Nations Cup.

Okocha has stated that this months tournament will be his last for the Super Eagles and he is hopeful that he can finish off his international era in style in the tournament which takes place in Egypt.

The 32-year old believes that winning the trophy will prove to people that Nigeria are still a force to be reckoned with in Africa. His only disappointment is that he is not able to play for them in next summers World Cup as he spent many happy years as a player in German club football with Eintract Frankfurt.

"Anything less than a place in the final will be disappointing, That's the only thing we have left." said Okocha

"It is a chance to prove we are still one of the best teams in Africa. I was hoping I would end my international career in Germany, where I started in football. But it wasn't meant to be."

Okocha and Nigeria face their first test of the African Cup this Monday as they take on Ghana.
