Allardyce Refutes England Distraction Claims

Sam Allardyce has rubbished recent claims which suggest that his links to the England job have put Bolton Wanderers season in jeopardy.

Allardyce has been constantly touted as a front runner for the England managerial post ever since Sven Goran Eriksson announced that he would leave the position after this summers World Cup and this has coincided with a bad run of defeats but the Wanderers boss says that a loss of form is primarily the club's own doing.

"I don't think the England business has cocked up our season, The only thing that has cocked it up is us, the staff and the players." said Allardyce

The Bolton cheif went on to confirm that he would still be in charge at the Reebok Stadium next season despite fresh talk of second interviews and such like over the past seven days.

"We were on the brink of breaking all sorts of records but have jeopardised that with our poor form. At the moment, I'm looking at being here next season,"
