Davies Wants Campo To Stay

Wanderers striker Kevin Davies wants team mate Ivan Campo to stay at the Reebok Stadium beyond this summer following his excellent display during Saturday's 4-1 win over Charlton.

Campo laid on two of the four Bolton goals against the Addicks and Davies says that the former Real Madrid player is an important member of the Trotters first team squad when fully fit.

The 32-year old will be out-of-contract in the summer but Davies hopes that the Spaniard will snub an offer to return to his homeland and prolong his four year stint in England.

"It is his decision but you want your good players to stay." said Davies of the midfielder who has started only a handful of games this season due to a succession of injury problems

"Ivan's ability is unbelievable. He usually puts the ball close to you. When he is on song, he is an important player for us."
