Liam Daish has started his rebuilding of the squad this week by signing former Stevenage midfielder Rob Quinn.
QUINN SIGNS ONE YEAR DEAL
Midfield player Robert Quinn has today agreed a one year deal with the club having been released from Stevenage Borough FC at the end of last season.
Twenty nine years old Robert began his career at Crystal Palace FC where he made his first team debut in 1995. He established himself in the Palace team during the 1996/1997 season before losing his place and making only one appearance the following season. Quinn’s lack of first team matches resulted in him being sold to Brentford for £40,000. Making over 100 appearances for ‘The Bees’ over two and a half seasons he was enjoying an excellent spell of form.
Midway through the 2000/2001 season, Quinn again found himself on the transfer list and was once again on the move, this time being sold to Oxford City FC for £75,000. His time at the Kassam Stadium was relatively short lived though as he was tempted away to Bristol Rovers where he signed two year deal in July 2002. His move into non league football came a couple of years late when he joined Stevenage Borough FC.
This Sidcup born midfielder is renowned for his tough tackling and versatility. He has won five Under 21 caps for the Republic of Ireland and also one B International cap.
