Phil Brown On Millwall Result

Phil Brown was pleased with his players after this tough encounter saying that Millwall came with a game plan and that the league one opponents were a potential banana skin and were a tough side to break down. After some poor results for Hull this tie was a welcome break from the league and will hopefully get us back on track in our premiership survival fight.

Phil said that Millwall upset the way that Hull like to play and it became a very scrappy affair with a foul count of 17 against Hull and only 7 for Millwall. Millwall only had one shot on target which pleased Phil plus a clean sheet also which was the deciding factor as the lions could have scored in the last minutes of the first half which would have changed the game plan for the second half.

But Hull showed that bit of quality in front of goal which you would expect from a prem side playing at home. With the annoucement that Kamil and Andy Dawson signed new contracts plus Jimmy Bullard coming in we look forward to a tough trip to West Ham this week and hopefully come away from Upton Park with some sort of a result.
