Barnsley will vist Anfield for the first time since 2008 when they famously knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup.

Barnsley have actually beaten Liverpool at Anfield the last two times they have visited and will be looking for a third win in a row at one of England's most iconic stadiums.

The Reds have had some really great draws recently in the domestic cups which included a trip to Old Trafford last season.

The Reds will be hoping to be a bit more robust after conceding 13 goals in the last two games they have played against Premier League opposition.

The Reds visited Anfield in 1997/98 during their only season in England's top flight and managed to get a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Ashley Ward.

The Reds also visited Anfield in 2008 during their run to the FA Cup semi-finals and won 2-1 with Brian Howard scoring a famous late goal moments after being denied a clear penalty.

The date and away allocation are yet to be decided but it is hoped Barnsley will be given a favourable allocation similar to the one they where given at Old Trafford last season which saw around 7000 Reds fans make the trip.
