Fabio Jalo joins Oldham on loan

It has been a frustrating season for the 20-year-old as he has had to settle for mostly substitute appearances. 

The forward looked like he announced himself to League One after an impressive brace against Bolton on 12 April last season.

However, an injury against Peterborough on 21 April saw him miss up to eight months of action. 

He has struggled to get back up to speed, and a drop to League Two will benefit Jalo as he looks to build match fitness and sharpness. 

A loan to The Latics worked for fellow Red Vimal Yoganathan last season. 

Everyone at Barnsley knows the quality that Jalo possesses and hopefully he can demonstrate his dribbling and flair in England’s fourth tier.
