Barnsley will look for their first league win of the season when they travel down to London to face Leyton Orient.
The Reds beat Crewe in the EFL Cup midweek, with the three goals scored a positive.
Transfer business is ramping up around Oakwell, with more signings expected after Connor O’Riordan joined on loan from Blackburn.
Patrick Kelly has been linked with a move to Leicester recently, whilst Reyes Cleary has been the subject of transfer speculation all window.
On the pair, Stendel said:“It's the first time that I hear from that (Kelly). I don't believe that would happen.
"We plan with him and we have no interest to sell him.
"I think since the transfer window opened, there's a lot of rumours about him (Cleary).
"Still now it's the same, but at the moment he is a player and he travels with us away to London and then we will see what happens after that.
"But at the moment I think he is still a player for Barnsley.”
Stendel was hopeful Luca Connell would return from injury in time for Saturday, whilst also confirming the Reds were still looking for a striker.
As for opponents Leyton Orient, their first five games across the EFL Cup, EFL Trophy and League One have brought two wins, two draws with penalty shootout wins and a loss.
Their last league outing saw them win away at Wigan, whilst they advanced in the EFL Cup midweek with a penalty shootout win over Walsall.
The O’s are managed by Richie Wellens who has been in charge since March 2022.
Leyton Orient will look to improve on last season's 20th place finish, and Barnsley did the double in this fixture last season.
The two sides have faced off 61 times, with Barnsley winning 26 and losing 24 of those matches.
