Match Preview: Rochdale v. Yeovil Town

Yeovil travel to Spotland on Saturday to the club where they played their first ever League match. 

However it has been five years since Rochdale and Yeovil have met, with the Dale earning promotion to League One in the summer.

On the 9th August 2003 the Glovers ran out 3-1 victors with a Kevin Gall brace and a Lee Johnson free-kick earning victory for the Green and Whites. 

In terms of injuries Yeovil have no new injury concerns but still have Jean-Paul Kalala, Stefan Stam and John Sullivan still struggling with injuries. Craig Alcock is likely to continue on the bench after recovering from a back injury. 

Stephen Henderson will continue in goal marking the penultimate game of his loan spell as it currently stands. Owain Tudur Jones missed part of training in mid-week but is likely to be okay to feature.

Rochdale have no long term injury woes and their only definite absentee will be Scott Wiseman who has a stomach muscle problem. However, the Dale are able to call upon the services of Joe Widdowson, Jack Redshaw and Matty Edwards who are all returning from minor injuries. But is likely they will all return to a seat on the bench. 

Rochdale have started the season as they ended last, currently sitting in 5th position. On paper, the fixture suggests it should be a home win, but this early on in the season only five points separate the two teams.
