This week sees Glover Lover focus on fans favourite Dean Bowditch, from Ipswich hotshot to Yeovil's number 10.
Born in Bishop's Stortford, Bowditch began his career at Ipswich Town coming up through the youth ranks to make his debut aged just sixteen, in the "Old Farm" derby against Norwich City.
Bowditch made the headlines the following season where he struck a hat-trick against Watford when he was aged just 17, something which would see him linked with numerous Premier League clubs.
But injuries hampered his progress and the striker failed to hold down a regular place in the Tractor Boys team and spent numerous loan spells at Football League clubs including Burnley, Brighton, Wycombe, Northampton and Brentford.
After spending essentially two seasons out on loan Ipswich released Bowditch at the end of the 2008-09 season and the striker joined the Glovers for pre-season. After scoring twice in pre-season Bowditch was rewarded with a one-year contract by Yeovil.
Things began well as he scored on his debut against Tranmere, although in the same game he was forced off with a serious shoulder injury which kept him out until November- some four months on the sidelines.
Despite missing much of the first half of the season he still managed to be the Green and Whites top scorer for the season in ten goals, and extended his stay in Somerset in the summer of 2010.
This season Bowditch has currently notched up 8 goals in 29 appearances, roughly one every three, which is a good achievement considering he has played much of his football on the wing recently.
In the January transfer market of 2011 Bowditch was involved in some last minute activity as Huddersfield stated an interest in signing the forward, but nothing materialised and he stayed with Yeovil.
How long the striker stays at Yeovil isn't known, but if he is able to stave of injuries and find the form which he first found at Ipswich he is certain to play at a higher level, with his natural goal scoring ability being an attribute sought by numerous clubs above League One standard.
