Will John Kennedy be signed in time to face Wolves

Motherwell play Wolves in their first home pre-seaosn friendly on Wednesday night and Mark McGhee is doing everything he can to bring in John Kennedy at Centre half on a six month loan from Celtic in time for this game. He will also give a chance to a couple of his other trialists.

McGhee has told the media there doesn't appear to be any reason that Kennedy shouldn't sign on loan in the next few days, and hopefully in time to play against Wolves.

Kennedy is looking to play regular first team football since his horrendous knee injury playing for Scotland a few years ago. Ironically he could be used to replace the injured Brian McLean who picked up a similar cruciate injury during a game in Austria last week.

McGhee will aslo look to run the rule over trialists Jim O'Brien from Celtic and also Lenny Pidgelely a keeper currently on the books of Millwall.
