Are we about to lose our two summer trialists

It looks as though we could see our two trialists from Celtic, John Kennedy and Jim O'Brien, move elsewhere as a result of Celtic's financial demands. With Kennedy likely to move to Norwich and Dundee Utd sniffing around O'Brien with a £50k offer reported this morning.

Reports suggest today that we have missed out on Celtic centre back John Kennedy because we couldn't afford to meet the Glasgow sides financial demands, ie pay them a fee and pay his full wage every week.

Sadly for us it would appear that Norwich or Preston are prepared to meet these demands.

Meanwhile Jim O'Brien could be set to move to Dundee Utd rather than Fir Park, despite being on trial with us for the last three weeks. The Scottish Sun reports that the Arabs have tabled a bid of £50000 for the winger.

This may only be the first step as Celtic are looking for £200000 for O'Brien, a fee that would put him out of our reach, and probably out of United's if they stick to their gusns.

On the plus side we could probably see another trialist line up against Braford tomorrow with former Preston man Seyfo Soley likely to turn out. The Gambian International had been at Southend last season after spells at Preston, Lokeren and Genk.

He can play either in midfield or at centre back, the latter being the more pressing need at the moment!!

This is beginning to annoy me, where is the so called ambition of the board who have let a reasonable player slip through our fingers
