John Sutton to sign up this week sometime!

The press report this morning that we are in the market to sign John Sutton from Wycombe Wanderers where he has been for just over a season after a successful spell at St, Mirren. While Sutton could be on his way in Andy Webster has moved to Bristol City

The Scottish Daily Express has reported this morning that we are in the market to sign former Dundee and St. Mirren striker John Sutton.  But on the down side we looked to have missed out on another centre half with Andy Webster heading to Bristol City on loan rather than coming to Fir Park. 

Sutton played 75 games for St. Mirren amassing 30 goals in his two years at Love St. His goals fired St. Mirren back into the SPL before he scored two vital goals at Fir Park in the second last game in 2006/07 which helped keep them up ahead of Dunfermline.

  He moved to Paul Lambert’s Wycombe last season but has fallen out of favour and was told he was free to go…. He will surely provide some decent pressure on Porter and Clarkson, and maybe even help out at centre half!! Talking of Centre half, we have now missed out on another potential with Webster’s move south, where now for McGhee with only 12 days left in the transfer window – let’s hope he has something up his sleeve to provide some cover for our defence!!
