Stephen Craigan played a comfortable 90 minutes to earn his 35th cap against Scotland at Hampden in last night's 0-0 draw. Unfortunately he didn't have the opportunity to test himself against Well team mate David Clarkson who was left on the bench all night.

Even before the game it was apparent that Craigan is held in high regard by the fans of Norn Irn thanks to the loud cheer that rang round the visiting end when his name was read out over the noisy Hampden PA.

After coping with Rooney, Owen, Raul and Ibrahimovic Craggs found Kenny Miller easy meat at this level as the new Rangers man did his usual headless chicken impression.

The Well skipper allowed him room to run into before constantly taking the ball off his toes!

As always Craigan wore his heart on his sleeve as he pushed his side on to take a draw, even when they were reduced to ten men.

The only real disappointment on the night was the fact we didn't get to see two Well players face up to each in an International, with George Burley choosing to stick by Miller and McFadden leaving Clarkson kicking his heels on the bench.

There was still time for one nice touch at the final whistls as former Fir Park team mates Craigan and McFadden exchanged strips....
