Another boring Lanarkshire Derby

After a shocking game at Fir Park last Saturday the two Lanarkshire rivals put up another horror game this time at New Douglas Park.

Both teams appeared to be setting up for an attacking afternoon with Well lining up 4-3-3 and Accies 3-4-3, but this only last ten minutes.

Accies made a couple of chances early on with Flavio Paxaio shooting straight at John Ruddy and then McLaughlin heading over from close renge.

We then had the change to 4-4-2 from both sides and they almost immediately cancelled each other out!

The best chance for the Accies came earlu in the second half when Ruddy pulled off a great save to tip a Mensing header over the bar, and then a minute later do the same to a McLaughlin effort.

Well created one good chance when a Craigan clearance picked out Sutton who killed the ball when in acres of space but somehow managed to shoot wildly over.

The only positive to take from the game is that the result sees us unbeaten in 7 games, having only lost one game in that time, and consolodated our position in 5th in the table.
