Exciting pre-season friendlies or not??
Somerset Park, Ayr

While trips to Brechin, Forfar and Ayr ahead of the Europa Cup may not set too many hearts racing two of the games have got me excited.
The first of the games on 6th July at Glebe Park Brechin gets an obsessed Well fan like me excited as I have never been there before and will be heading there ticking off another ground I have seen the might Well play at.
I have always been intrigued to see the famous hedge that acts as the perimeter wall keeping fans out of the ground - surely this could only happen in Scottish grounds.
I am even prepared to give up a World Cup semi final to head for this one!
We then travel to Sation Park Forfar on Thursday 8th July, personally I'm not too fussed about this one. I've seen us struggle there before and may give this one a miss!
Then it's Ayr Utd on Saturday 10th July, this game I believe is a Centenary game for the Honest Men and is part of a Centenary Festival on the day - including an Old Ayr side v an old Killie side ahead of our game.
This game has a bit of a special meaning to me, I attended a number of games at Somerset Park back in the 60s when my family stayed in Prestwick and I have always had a soft spot for them.
Let's hope these three games set us up nicely for the Europa Cup opener on 15th July,
