How many will be at training on Monday

After a short summer of speculation who will turn up at Motherwell's first day of pre-season training on Monday.

At goalkeeper it looks as though we have lost John Ruddy who has returned to Everton after his loan spell. We have gained Lee Hollis from Airdrie apparently as a back up keeper but to whom? It would appear Michael Fraser has been told he can leave but has anyone been lined up to replace him?

At the back we have one new signing with Cypriot Under 21 International Angelis Charalambous joining up after his summer move. Apart from this it will be business as usual in defence with no other ins and outs, despite the speculation surrounding the future of Mark Reynolds.

In midfield there is still some uncertainty around the future of Gile Coke who has yet to sign with anyone over the summer period so far. With Tom Hateley, Steve Jennings and Marc Fitzpatrick signing up again there is a solid look to the midfield area.

Missing here will be the spark that Jim O'Brien brought to the side, but maybe this will be time for Chris Humphrey to step up.

There will be a shortage of forwards when the team re-group with Jutkiewicz back at Everton leaving John Sutton and Jamie Murphy as the only two recognised first team forwards. They will be backed up by Robert McHugh and one or two others from the 19s.

Surely when Craig Brown surveys the scene on Monday he will know that some strengthening needs to be done before the season starts....
