Well hit by late sucker punch
Murphy

Motherwell were left rueing their missed chances when they were hit by a late strike by Killie.
The players had trouble mastering the conditions in the early stages with the wind appearing to be blowing in both directions. The first half had little incident of note with the only real chance coming when Humphrey’s corner almost caught out Bell but he did manage to palm it away.
By the time the second half started they seemed to have mastered the weather and chances start to come at both ends. Murphy shot at Bell for Well and Clancy dragged a good opportunity wide.
In 62 minutes Randolph pulled off a great save at his near post from a Miguel flick. Then at the other end Murphy was clean through after Sissoko slipped but he could only shoot at the keeper.
Stevie Hammell then saw a free kick bounce off the bar, then Jennings was sent clear by Murphy but he too hit the ball straight at Bell.
With only eight minutes left we were hit with a sucker punch when a Clancy cross picked out Silva at the back post for the sub to score from close range.
Even in the dying minutes we had chances with Hateley seeing a free kick deflected off the wall for a corner, and then a 30 yard effort from Gunning just fizzed over the bar.
Then in the last minute Killie were reduced to ten men when Garry Hay was sent off. He pulled back Chris Humphrey for a clear foul but probably only a yellow card, the ref seemingly told the Killie boss it was for being “cynical”.
We will create less chances in other games and win, the manager needs to keep positive and we will be back on the winning track soon.
