According to SKY SPORTS, Nottingham Forest are interested in securing the services of 21 year old striker Jay Simpson.
The forward is a product of Arsenal's youth academy and is yet to start a league game for the Gunners. He scored twice as Arsenal demolished Wigan 3-0 in the Carling Cup last season and so has proved he has the ability to score goals at a high level.
Cardiff, Leicester City, Milwall and QPR make up the rest of the Championship clubs chasing the player, whilst a few lower Premiership sides have also expressed their interest.
"Jay has had discussions with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal," said an Arsenal representative.
"Everyone at the club only has good things to say about Jay, including Arsene, but they appreciate he needs to be playing first-team football.
"And so they are ready to let him leave, but only if the deal is right for all parties."
