Dyer And Woodgate Named To Face Southampton

DYER & WOODGATE RETURN

Kieron Dyer and Jonathan Woodgate have both been included in the Newcastle Unted squad for the FA Cup third-round trip to Southampton.

Dyer could line up alongside captain Alan Shearer upfront with Craig Bellamy (knee) and Shola Ameobi (fractured cheekbone) still out of action.

Woodgate has not played since damaging a hamstring during the 4-0 victory over Tottenham on December 13 but has now recovered.

Andy Griffin returns to the squad after sering a three-match ban, but Lee Bowyer (hip) and Steve Caldwell (thigh) are still sidelined.
