The final game of last season, Shola Ameobi nets in front of the Kop - to secure Newcastle a place in this seasons UEFA Cup. The Magpies' stiker is looking forward to visiting Anfield this weekend, and hopes to net another goal.
SHOLA AMEOBI:
"I have happy memories at Anfield after getting the goal there last season in the final game of the season.
"Liverpool were my second team as a kid, with John Barnes and all that lot playing for them. They were a great side to watch then, they used to win everything!
"Scoring that goal in front of The Kop was a great moment for me, I've scored a few goals that stand out in my career and that is up there with them.
"We needed to win that game, but the point was enough to get us into the UEFA Cup. We don't want to be in that position at the end of this season, it would be nice to go into the last game with a position in the top four secured.
"We know that the longer we go without a win we are making it that little bit harder for ourselves, but we're still confident we can get up there with a good little run.
"We haven't become a bad team overnight, and the group of players we have at the club are the ones that have finished fourth, third and then fifth in consecutive seasons.
"It will be a tough game on Sunday and there is a bit of pressure on us to get something down there, but they will be under a bit of pressure as well after their little stumble against Portsmouth in midweek.
"But if we play as well as we know we can, then there's no reason why we can't go there and get something."
